Linn Sondek LP12 Isolation Platform – Walnut Turntable Vibration Control by Mnpctech
The Mnpctech Isolation Platform for the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable is a high-performance turntable isolation platform designed to reduce vibration, improve stability, and enhance sound quality. Built specifically for audiophiles seeking better performance from their Linn LP12, this platform measures 18″ wide × 13″ deep × 3.5″ tall and is handcrafted from solid walnut hardwood for optimal mass and resonance control.

Weighing approximately 9 pounds, the platform provides a rigid, mass-loaded base that helps eliminate vibration from speakers, footfalls, and external noise. It comes pre-installed with Mnpctech 2.75″ adjustable isolation feet, each using 1.5″-thick Sorbothane anti-vibration material to deliver superior vibration damping and turntable isolation.
This Linn Sondek LP12 isolation base arrives fully assembled with no tools required, making it an easy upgrade for any hi-fi setup. Simply place your LP12 turntable on the platform to reduce unwanted resonance, improve cartridge tracking accuracy, and achieve cleaner detail, tighter bass, and more stable imaging. Proper isolation allows the LP12 to perform as intended, preserving timing, rhythm, and musical realism.

Each isolation foot features a 3/8″ threaded leveling system for precise height adjustment. To level the platform, grip and twist the rigid top washer only. Do not twist the Sorbothane material, as this may cause damage.
Whether you’re upgrading a vintage or modern Linn Sondek LP12, the Mnpctech Turntable Isolation Platform offers a reliable solution for vibration control, improved audio fidelity, and long-term stability—making it an essential accessory for serious vinyl enthusiasts.
The Linn Sondek LP12 has been around since 1973 and is still in production today, which makes it one of the longest-running high-end turntables ever made. Early LP12 models used a belt-drive suspended sub-chassis design with a real wood plinth, steel top plate, and an AC motor, setting the foundation for what would become one of the most respected turntables in audio history. Through the late 1970s and 1980s, Linn continued to refine the LP12 with better bearings, improved suspension tuning, and tighter manufacturing tolerances, all while keeping the same Sondek LP12 name.
In the early 1990s, the Valhalla power supply became a popular upgrade for improving speed stability, followed in 1996 by the Lingo power supply, which delivered noticeably better motor control and quickly became a favorite among LP12 owners. In 2006, Linn released the LP12 SE, a factory-built special edition that bundled higher-end components and marked the first time Linn officially offered a premium LP12 configuration. Around 2007, the Cirkus bearing upgrade arrived, improving bass control, timing, and overall stability, and it later became standard on new LP12 builds. In 2011, Linn introduced the Radikal power supply and DC motor, which was a major step forward in speed accuracy and noise reduction, followed by the Keel one-piece aluminum sub-chassis in 2013, designed to increase rigidity and reduce resonance. In 2018, Linn added the Kore sub-chassis as a more affordable alternative to the Keel and also launched the Karousel bearing, which further lowered noise and improved smoothness and eventually became standard on new LP12 turntables.
In 2020, Linn officially grouped the LP12 into Majik, Akurate, and Klimax configurations, giving buyers clearer upgrade paths while keeping the same core Sondek LP12 design. Today, the Linn Sondek LP12 continues to evolve through small updates, and nearly every LP12 ever made can still be upgraded, which is a big reason why it remains such a popular choice among vinyl lovers and audiophiles.
