Building the Mnpctech Corsair iCue 5000T Gaming PC, "Retro Futurism" Case Mod"
Detailed overview of Bill Owen's Corsair iCue 5000T PC build to inspire you to make their own Corsair iCue 5000T PC build stand out from the crowd!
The Corsair 5000T iCue case offers tons of features with a spacious interior. Although Corsair designed the 5000T case with everything you need for modern day water cooled PC build, I'm going to customize it in a style that suites my individuality. This Corsair 5000T RGB PC build isn't for sale. It's being built for Corsair's Headquarters in California. I'm also publishing this Corsair 500)T build worklog on my product page, so it's more likely discovered in web searches. Mnpctech was given the new CORSAIR iCUE 5000T RGB Case to be customized as a water cooled custom PC build as result of a long history of Bill Owen doing case mods for Corsair's booth at events.
Here is the Corsair Hydro series liquid cooling parts and components that will be featured in the "5KT" custom gaming PC build with the new Corsair iCue RGB 5000T case.
The CORSAIR iCUE 5000T RGB Case features contoured curves and 208 individually addressable RGB LEDs to make your 5000T RGB PC unmistakable. It also utilizes removable airflow front and roof panels, CORSAIR's new RapidRoute cable management and spacious interior make Corsair iCue 5000t RGB Case enjoyable for both PC air coolers and custom water coolers. This Corsair iCue 5000T RGB Case will be custom painted in unique Pastel colors. The initial plan is to use ASUS z590 Motherboard with Intel Core i9 CPU and ASUS STRIX 3080 GPU with Corsair waterblock.
Mnpctech is often hired to build extreme custom gaming PC's for events and advertise new PC game releases as giveaways. This Corsair iCue 5000t RGB Case Mod will be displayed at Corsair's headquarters in California.
The ASUS Strix 3080 GPU will be on a custom vertical pedestal, so the rear PCI slots in the Corsair iCue 5000T case are no longer needed. I've taped off the inner portion of the rear panel with 3M Scotch green tape in the Corsair 5000T RGB chassis to be removed. I used Dremel with 1.5" reinforced cutting wheel to make the intial cuts before using Jigsaw with 18 TPI bi-metal cutting blade to cut and remove the rear panel.
You can see the Corsair 5000T case without it's rear panel removed. I will either leave this open with corner reinforced pieces or install a new back wall panel with imagery that reflects the theme of this Corsair iCue 5000T Gaming PC Mod build.
Portions of the rear panel rivets were removed with 1/8" drill bit. To re-assemble the Corsair PC 5000T RGB chassis, I use the best and strongest pop rivets. These are copper 1/8 computer pop rivets from HERE
Custom 45 degree tilted vertical GPU position in this Prebuilt Corsair iCue 5000T RGB Case Mod Water Cooled Gaming PC Build.
I made custom shroud for this 7" HDMI USB LCD screen that will display system temps and stats. I could do this because the PCI slots are no longer needed in the rear of the 5000T case for the GPU. The Strix 3080 GPU HDMI cable will be routed through the Corsair 5000T PSU location to the monitor.
I'm adding 2nd 3.5" Computer LCD from GoOverlay to the bottom shroud, just cause I can ;-). I highly recommend these LCDs, they're great for the low price and the native software is very good for hardware stats.
Adding new momentary vandal switch for main power in the Custom Prebuilt Corsair iCue 5000T RGB Case Mod Water Cooled Gaming PC Build.
The new CORSAIR iCUE 5000T RGB Case includes 3 Corsair LL120 RGB PWM fans deliver immediate cooling and additional lighting, with an included iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT for smart control.
Corsair asked that I incorporate some Cyberpunk aesthetics of my own into this Prebuilt Corsair iCue 5000T RGB Case Mod Water Cooled Gaming PC Build & Case Mod.
Everything in this Corsair 5000T iCue RGB custom case mod and gaming PC build will be custom painted. Here is breakdown and dismantle of some of the Corsair Hydro X series liquid cooling components that include the new XD3 RGB reservoir and pump combination. I'm also painting the cover for the Corsair Hydro X XC7 RGB cpu water block.
XD3 RGB reservoir and pump combination is new to Corsair's Hydro-X series of custom liquid cooling products. Are you custom painting yours, too?
Steps in removal of cover on Corsair XD3 RGB reservoir.
1. Remove pump from bottom with Torx tool
2. Unscrew the four rubber vibration mounts by hand.
3. Pull apart shell of the XD3 RGB reservoir by hand.
4. Unscrew the 16x Torx head screws that fasten on the clear cover.

Dismantling the Corsair XC7 shell is much easier than the XD3.
To remove the acrylic core, simply twist the water block from the bottom of the Corsair XC7 base. It's much easier dismantle than the new Corsair XD3.

Here is latest update on the Corsair iCue RGB 5000T custom gaming PC build and case mod by Bill Owen at Mnpctech. There is more details in the works on this unique Corsair 5000T PC mod.
My Corsair icue 5000T build will stand out further from the crowd by utilizing stainless steel hard line tubing for water cooling the Intel - Core i9-12900K Desktop Processor. I chose this type of tubing because it's bright metallic finish is aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't absorb dirt, smudges, fingerprints or scuffs, making maintenance very easy. The biggest advantage to using stainless for PC water cooling is it's corrosion resistant properties, so you can use distilled water in your water cooling loop.It also resists bacteria and germs making it ideal choice for hygiene-conscious environments, hospitals and medical care centers.
Type of stainless tubing I'm using for PC water cooling is T-304/304L, Seamless Tube in 0.5" x 0.035" x 0.43"
