Always wear protective gloves when handling Modder's Mesh.

How did you discover "Modder's Mesh?"
I experimented with different perforated steels until I found the right combination of strength and pliability for my case mod ideas.

Who came up with the name "Modder's Mesh" and where can I buy it?
I gave it the name in 2001. It just made sense and it had a nice ring to it

I need a sheet larger than 1 sq ft, can you do custom sizes?
We only stock 1' x 1' or 1' x 2' pre cut sheets.

Why does my modder's mesh have oil on it?
Modder mesh is bare steel. The oil is applied to prevent oxidation (rust) during storage.
Store your mesh in an enviroment
without any moisture in the air.

My Modders Mesh was bent by UPS. Can I fix it or get it replaced?
Its very pliable so first try pounding it out with Rubber mallet against a flat surface. You can also wrap a rag around a Hammer.
If this doesn't  work, contact me for a replacment.

How do I paint Modder's mesh?
Clean the surface with a Laquer thinner, sand with 200 grit sandpaper and apply a "self etching" primer before painting. If you don't use this type of adhesion promoter, your paint will peel off! You can buy "self etching " at any Autoparts Store that carries an extensive line of Autobody supplies.

Is it alright to leave my Modder's mesh exposed as is?
Yes, but you will need to periodically apply a silicone lubricant to keep the surface from oxidizing.  When to apply depends on the type of climate you live in. Check the surface every 30 days for any sign of oxidizing. You can also prevent oxidation by spraying the surface with Laquer Clearcoat, but only after cleaning surface with laquer thinner. You can find these products at Hardware Stores and Home Depot.  Always wear a ventilator mask when using thinners or applying clear coat paints.
