Raptr’s Kickass “Battlefield 3″ PC built by Boddaker.

Brian Carter (aka Boddaker) started out this project for Raptr as a simple idea around a ‘military-themed’ PC that evolved into a gaming rig featuring a mini gun and a beverage cooler! The canvas for this case mod was a Cooler Master Trooper Full Tower

Yes, the mini gun does function! It’s driven by an electric motor with gears. The mini gun barrel was created from 3/4″ diameter acrylic tubing and Black acrylic sheets.

The front Sniper grill measures 200mm and was custom ordered from Mnpctech.com

The heart of the Battlefield 3 system is AMD’s FX 8150 processor that is cooled by Corsair’s H80. ATI’s Radeon HD 6970 graphics cards, 60GB solid state drive and 1TB SATA III hard drive. Origin PC supplied all of the hardware.

Brian implemented a First-aid kit into the side with a USB-powered beverage cooler!

Mural on side panel was airbrushed by Steve Nunez with Raptr’s dino incorporated into Battlefield-inspired theme.

The Minigun and Main Power is activated by the Military Toggle switches from Mnpctech.com and installed on Brian’s custom mounting plate.

The external roll cage was fabricated from 1/2″ acrylic rod. Brian created curved templates from blocks of wood. He bended the acrylic with a heat gun. The individual pieces were glued together and mounted on the case with stand-offs. The drive is LG Blu-ray and Lamptron fan controller was modified with new face plates.
