Dremel Hand positions for optimal control.
Kickback is a common problem with using cutting discs. The disc will stick and cause the Dremel to jump. Potentially landing on your panel and scratching the paint. The Masking tape will only help prevent small knicks. Always use both hands to hold the Dremel.

Notice that I've placed the panel on an empty box. Heres why

Holds the panel steady as I cut.  (you can tape panel to the box if you wish)

It eliminates me from having to lean down a lot while cutting.

Dremel wont destroy the surface of my workbench as it cuts through the panel.

Straight line cutting.

Position your hands as if youre holding a thick golf club.
Fingers should be positioned to allow airflow from vents.
Circular cutting.
Position both hands as if youre pumping up a floor jack.
Use your elbows to support yourself
